This workshop is new for September 2009 and funded by the Wellcome Trust as part of the Survival Rivals project. Celebrating Charles Darwin’s bicentenary, this one-day workshop investigates convergent evolution between humans and chimpanzees, and includes PCR using students’ own DNA.

The workshop includes:
£300 per workshop (maximum of 25 students) Independent schools are welcome to attend.

Nowgen was commissioned by the Wellcome Trust to assess the feasibility of a number of proposed ideas to explore evolution using practical work.
We are working in collaboration with the Centre for Life in Newcastle, and Explore At-Bristol to develop and deliver the complete workshop. Nowgen has developed the technical aspect of the workshop and collated the necessary background information.
