The _Our Kid_ sculpture 

Over the last 60 years there has been an explosion of knowledge, technological developments and treatments in healthcare, as well as major social changes in the UK. Great achievements have been pioneered by scientific and clinical researchers in Manchester, and the impact of their work has been felt by patients in the region.

  Nowgen is working alongside the Central Manchester and Manchester Children's University Hospitals NHS Trust and with other partner organisations to create a public exhibition highlighting healthcare research in Manchester. _Our Kid_ is timed to mark the anniversary of the founding of the NHS 60 years ago. 
  
  The project includes a distinctive and impressive multimedia exhibition, teenagers' films and a series of public dialogue events which will run during Manchester Science Festival.
