Marisha Palm joined the Public Programmes team in February 2010 as a Research and Evaluation Officer. This role involves commissioning and management of public consultation and other engagement activities, conducting research and evaluation of projects and contributing to the development of Nowgen’s public engagement strategy.
Marisha completed undergraduate and MSc degrees in Psychology before receiving an Overseas Student Award to do a PhD in Neuroscience and Psychiatry at the University of Manchester. Following this she worked in industry as a Health Outcomes Manager, looking at patient reported outcomes across a range of disease areas. More recently, Marisha worked as a health services researcher on a longitudinal multi-centre study measuring the impact of social and psychological factors on individuals with osteoarthritis who have undergone a hip replacement.
Marisha also volunteers as a Steering Group member of the Manchester Local Involvement Network, an organisation that aims to give people in the community a voice in the improvement of health and social care services.
