Bioinformatics for Cytogeneticists and Molecular Geneticists

Nowgen, in partnership with National Genetics Reference Laboratories (NGRL) in Manchester and Wessex, and The Sanger Institute, will be running national and recurrent courses in bioinformatics starting in 2008. Feedback to the NGRLs, particularly at the meeting of the British Society of Human Genetics in September 2007, has made specific referral to the need for such training in light of developing technologies and requirements of laboratories.

The first course has now been developed and is tailored to the training needs of both cytogeneticists and molecular geneticists which were identified following initial consultation with the relevant groups’ senior representatives.
