The Familial Breast Cancer course consists of 2½ days which include both teaching and clinic observation with practice sessions.

The teaching sessions, based at the Nowgen Centre on the above dates, will focus on Familial Breast Cancer risk assessment and counselling skills, building the required knowledge and adapting the skills ready for transfer to a clinic situation.

The clinic sessions (one half day at Wythenshawe or St Mary’s Hospitals) will involve taking part in actual Family History Clinic sessions with a trained counsellor, working with referred women.
