Tom Hancocks

Bioinformatics Training Officer

Tom Hancocks works closely with NGRL Manchester and NW e-Health to lead the delivery of bioinformatics training to practioners and scientists within the area of genetics in the NHS. Additionally he will liaise with these groups to advise the Modernising Scientific Careers (MSC) programme on the bioinformatics content for the MSC curriculum.

Tom works with the NGRL Manchester to understand the range of bioinformatics software and tools available to users. He works on Nowgen’s Next Generation Sequencing Bioinformatics course, developed in collaboration with Roche, Genomatix, and involving Illumina and Life Technologies, taking place June 2011.
