Our aim is simply to involve and engage people from all walks of life, in biomedical and health-related research.
Our team specialises in working with a range of people – including patients, members of the public, young people and carers, research and healthcare professionals, policy-makers, and life science industries – to provide high-quality and meaningful public engagement and involvement in research.
We do this by providing:
Our comprehensive portfolio of practice and research ensures that all our work is rooted in a strong evidence base. Our team includes specialists in science communication, public engagement, public involvement, policy, clinical and social research. Together, we have over 15 years of experience behind us.
We work flexibly – as collaborators and co-investigators, as well as initiating and leading projects. We have developed from a partnership between the Central Manchester NHS Trust and The University of Manchester and work with a range of organisations locally, nationally and internationally including research organisations, academic and NHS institutions, individual researchers, science and discovery centres, patient organisations, schools, creative partners and charities. Through our NHS and University partners, we are able to be part of grant applications to all major UK and European funders; we also operate on a consultancy basis.
