Alisha joined the Public Engagement team at Nowgen in February 2010, after completing a MRes in Psychology at The University of Manchester.

Alisha's work at Nowgen involves working with young people, parents, and health professionals and researchers to identify the information needs of adolescents taking part in pharmacogenetic research. The aim of this work is to produce relevant information materials for use by adolescents and their parents who are invited to take part in future clinical research. This project is funded by The Manchester Biomedical Research Centre.

My wider research interests concern adolescent clinical experiences, clinical communication, and attitudes to and interpretations of scientific information and theory.
